Take a teaspoon of sesame seeds and soak them in a cup of water. Allow this mixture to stand overnight and in the morning drink the water and eat the seeds on an empty stomach. Wearing copper bracelet is also suggested for preventing arthritis.

Take few cloves of garlic and chew them raw, chew them well and consume, if done on an empty stomach before first meal of the day it casts better effects and is one of the easiest and effective home remedies for arthritis. Drinking juice of one lemon mixed with a glass of water few times in a day is another one of the effective home remedies for arthritis.

Take two tablespoons of castor oil and boil it on a stove burner. When the oil comes to a boil mix it with a glass of orange juice. Consume this glass of juice before breakfast till the disease is not cured. This is one of the popular home remedies for arthritis. Take this remedy regularly for three weeks and take a break of three weeks and later start again. Avoid acidic foods during the whole treatment and prefer alkaline diet and drinks for better and quick results.

Mix two teaspoons of lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey and consume this mixture regularly twice in a day for curing the problem of arthritis. Guggulu is another very effective herb which has been used as one of the effective home remedies for arthritis. Consume half a teaspoon of guggulu with warm water after meals twice in a day for curing the problem of arthritis. A small piece of camphor can be mixed with warm mustard or coconut oil, this oil can be used to massage the aching joints for curing the problem of arthritis and relieving pain and swelling and promoting movement.

Prepare a soup using one tablespoon of green gram, two cloves of garlic and a cup of water. Consume this soup twice a day, this also works as one of the effective home remedies for arthritis. Taking hot water tub bath twice in a day has been found beneficial in relieving pain and swelling in the joint sand promotes movement. Mild exercises are very beneficial in preventing the problem, checking its progression and relieving the symptoms. Exercises shall be chosen according to body’s capacity and body shall not be pushed beyond its limit. Walking, swimming, jogging, aerobics and few types of yoga poses are very useful exercises for arthritis which affect males and females equally well. Vegetable soups and fruit juices shall be consumed more in quantity, juices of carrot, beet root, cucumber, apples, papaya, oranges and grapes are very supportive for relieving symptoms of arthritis.

Using spices like turmeric, asafetida, ginger, garlic, cumin and coriander in cooking also helps in relieving pain and inflammation caused by arthritis. Avoid vegetables like spinach, potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and okra, and completely avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, sugar, yoghurt, cocoa and chocolates. Avoid stress, anxiety and take proper rest and sufficient duration of sleep for avoiding frequent occurrences of symptoms of arthritis.
