Epsom salt tub bath twice in a day regularly for few months also provide long lasting relief from the problem. Avoid long standing periods or long sitting periods take a break between for few minutes after every one hour. Keep weight under control. Yoga poses are excellent ways to treat the problem, Yoga poses like Shirshasana, Shalabhasana, Padmasana, Vipritkarniasana, Sarvangasana, Gomukhasana and Vajrasana are excellent exercises to cure the problem and also to prevent it from occurring. Deep breathing exercises described in Yoga are very useful for keeping even blood flow to all parts of the body, regular practice of these exercises also helps in keeping weight under control without straining legs. Practicing breathing exercises is very beneficial for people suffering with varicose veins or prone to suffer with problem. Avoid consumption of potatoes, starchy foods, condiments, alcohol, coffee, strong tea, white flour products and white sugar to cure the problem. Include whole grains, lean meat, fresh fruits and steamed green leafy vegetables more in the diet for supporting the body to prevent varicose veins. Avoid sitting in cross leg position, move your ankles in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction while sitting for longer period and lie down and elevate your legs and cycle for few minutes in the evening to avoid varicose veins.
