Apply this 2-3 times in a day and particularly before going to bed for quick relief from the symptoms and removing the infection. Take half cup of butter, add a teaspoon of alcohol and apple cider vinegar and mix them well. Keep this mixture in the freezer for at least 3 hours and apply this as a paste on the infected part. It is one of the magical home remedies for jock itch. This mixture can be harsh for people having sensitive skin hence try it on a small part before applying it on whole area.

Topical application of tea tree oil is one of the most popular home remedies for jock itch. The tea tree oil shall be applied at least twice in a day and one should keep applying it even after infection or rash has vanished for at least a week for long term relief and proper cure. Tea tree oil is strong and can be harsh to sensitive skin hence trying on a small part is advised before applying on the whole area.
Prepare a mixture by adding two ounces of bleach to 16 ounces of warm water. Soak a clean towel or piece of cloth in the mixture and apply on the infected area. Repeat this 3-4 times in a day for curing and removing the infection. One should be specific about the quantity of bleach and water while preparing the mixture. This is one of the most effective home remedies for jock itch.

Washing and drying the area with any over the counter anti-bacterial soap also works as one of the simplest home remedies for jock itch. Use soap and water to clean the infected area and wipe the area well with clean towel. Always remember to use separate towel for wiping the infected area and do not use it to wipe other parts of the body. Use a hair dryer to dry the area completely. Repeat this 3-4 times in a day, in most of the cases this treatment can cure the infection and relieve the symptoms.

Look for personal hygiene. Always keep the infected area dry, one can use powder to keep the area dry, use cotton clothes and loose fitting clothes. Do not share towels or clothes with any one else, change undergarments two three times in a day. Increased intake of garlic, fruits and vegetables is supportive diet for curing the infection. Curtail sugary products, oily, refined and processed foods completely. Alcohol can be used as topical application for treating jock itch but it aggravates the infection if taken internally hence completely avoid alcohol intake during infection.
