Home remedies for cervical spondylosis are effective treatments to control the problem and prevent its aggravation which can cause severe symptoms and problems to the victim. People suffering with cervical spondylosis can perform simple exercises taking 2-3 minutes break from work. These exercises shall begin by folding and unfolding of fingers, fold the fingers and close and drop the wrist, rotate the fist in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, fold and unfold arms and rotate shoulders first in clockwise and later in anti-clockwise direction. Repeat each movement of every part at least 10 times in one session and perform at least three sessions everyday. These exercises can be done while sitting or standing. After the massage cover the neck and shoulder area with a hot towel, soaked in hot water and later wringed to let the excess water flow out. Stay in this position for 20 minutes. Soak the towel again if it cools down before 20 minutes. The massage and moist heat provided by the wet hot towel works as one of the magical home remedies for cervical spondylosis and relieves pain and stiffness. Perform this massage in the morning.

Consumption of chebulic myrobalan after every principle meal regularly also provides relief and works as one of the effective home remedies for cervical spondylosis. Cycling regularly while keeping the back straight and using thighs and hip region to push the paddles work as another one of the useful home remedies for cervical spondylosis. One can use stationary cycles too for this purpose.

Neck and head exercises are other very useful home remedies for cervical spondylosis. Stretch arms sideways and rotate the head in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, repeat this movement at least 10 times in one session. Later tilt the head backwards and bring it forward till chin touches the upper chest, repeat this too at least 10 times. Nod the head sideways towards one shoulder and then towards another. These exercises are very useful and work as effective home remedies for cervical spondylosis.

Certain precautions while sleeping and lifting objects prevent the problem from aggravating. Sleep on a hard mattress sideways and keep legs at right angles. Avoid lifting objects while bending from the waist, instead squat close to the object and lift the body using knees keeping back straight. Eat vegetables like tomato, cucumber, radish, carrot, lettuce and cabbage in raw form as much as possible and vegetables like spinach and cauliflower after steaming. All types of fruits are good for treating the problem. Avoid fried, spicy, sour foods and also avoid sour curd, sugar, tea and coffee. Completely avoid smoking or tobacco consumption and perform light exercises regularly. Yoga has some very useful and effective exercises and poses to relieve the problem.
